The Bay Area Attention Data Meetups are opportunities for people to connect and discuss the effective use of attention data, the development of attention services, and the expansion of the attention economy.
We host monthly sessions where startups that use clickstream tracking, profile building and serendipitous discovery as integral parts of their business can present their services and get valuable feedback from a small group of seasoned industry insiders and Attention Data evangelists.
The events usually include two or three brief show and tell session form different presenters, with ample time for questions and a guided discussion afterwards. We try to alternate our presenters between veterans and hopeful entrepreneurs, who have data mining, attention data, or advanced profile building as an integral part of their business focus. To ensure engaging events, we are keeping the Attention Data Meetups small and exclusive, and they are advertised to our list only.
The Attention Data Meetup crowd is professional and competent, but also quite eclectic, with participants ranging from serial entrepreneurs, engineers and scholars, to bloggers and journalists. Some are there just to watch, some are very opinionated, but mostly everyone understand the complexity of our field.
Our community is based on four basic principles:
Property
You own your attention and can store it wherever you wish. You have CONTROL.
Mobility
You can securely move your attention wherever you want whenever you want to. You have the ability to TRANSFER your attention.
Economy
You can pay attention to whomever you wish and receive value in return. Your attention has WORTH.
Transparency
You can see exactly how your attention is being used. You can DECIDE who you trust.
