Estimated attendance:  19  people attended.

Our presenter for the April Meetup are:

  • Kent Brewster, Technology Evangelist at Yahoo!, creator of BlogJuice, and Glint (an iPhone Toy :-). Kent brings us fresh reports from the mashup trenches where privacy policies and DRM limitations are frequent road kill.
  • Peter Berger, co-founder and CEO of semantic search startup Alitora.com will talk about the dramatic impact of semantic web technologies on attention data.

We meet in the lobby of 1400 Crittenden Lane at at 5:30pm, and gravitate towards our designated conference room in time for our first presenter to start at 6:00pm sharp. Each presenter will talk for 20 minutes, then submit to a brief Q&A. Depending on the amount of questions taken during presentations, we will move onto a general discussion about the latest developments in the attention data space around 7:00pm.

NB! This event is hosted at the Google Customer Labs, about a mile North East of the main campus!

Our goal is to Share and give feedback to current and future products and services that use implicit, user-generated behavioral metadata in interesting ways. Our emphasis will be on usability, adoption, scaling, revenue models, and the political impact of new technologies in the field.
